Hi
The feature, Find in files, cannot find words containing chars with umlaut like
?, ? and ?.
It cannot find words containing the danish chars ?,? or ?.
The problem is in UTF-8 encoded files and in N++ 5.0 or higher. I hope someone
will look into this.
It is annoying that I have to use several versions of N++ to get the job done.

I have installed latest version of Notepad++ (v5.1.1) and downloaded latest
version of Hex Editor (v0.9.1). At first I could use the plug-in (2-3 times),
but prety soon Notepad++ started to crash every time I would try to use Hex
Editor. I have a file opened, and the moment I click on Hex Editor - Notepad++
crashes.
The problem is not as described
in http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2199362&forum_id=331754
because I don't start npp in compatibility mode.
I use Windows XP, SP2.
Thanks in adcance for help.

My version of N++ should be able to find unicode chars in files:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5311682
Is is based on the old 5.0.3 version, but yesterday I also submitted a patch
that should fix the problem in the newer versions (5.1*):
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2393125&group_id=95717
&atid=612384
Please try it out and tell me if it works for you (or you can just wait for
the next release)
Thanks

Hi Chrono,
I am using the NppExec Plugin to achieve this. It is simple and easy to use.
All you have to do is this:
1> Navigate to Plugins -> NppExec -> Execute. [Default Shortcut key is F6]
2> In the new popup window, type this
cmd /c cd "$(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)" && "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\javac"
"$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"
3> Click on "Save" and give it a name say "Java Compile".
4> Bingo. You are there. Now any file you are editing a Java file in NPP and
you want to compile it, press F6 and choose this script "Java Compile". It will
compile the Java class for you. This is irrespective of which directory you
are in.
This plugin can be used to execute any executable as you would from a command
prompt. Currently im using it to compile C, C++ and Java.
For running the compiled Java class, the script is:
cmd /k cd "$(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)" && "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java" "$(NAME_PART)" &&
exit
Hope this helps,
Re,
Sam
P.S Remember to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable. To check if it is set,
open a command prompt and type java.

If i connect to my FTP-Server the hidden files i. e. files with leading dot
like .htaccess are not shown in directory list.
Is any config setting existing to get these files visible?
