Let me ask for attention one more time, encore une fois!
Read this thread for more information:
"Very Slow Replacement in Column Selections" (Open Discussion forum)

Especially this part:

Take a look here for an alternative way to do column block selection
replacement,
but think of the possible impact of using this method:

I misread your question, what you want is not possible.
I assumed you meant the block comment feature (adding a block of comment lines)
which uses that attribute. However, the syntax highlighter has this hardcoded
and does not make use of it. Afaik there is no way around it.

Well, why adding a commentLine attribute, and a keyword tag in a xml
configuration
file if it's not used ?
I tried adding a new language, and it does not works either, so I think you're
right, but I find that kind of strange.
Thanks anyway,
Mickael.

You probably have a shortcut conflict for the combination Ctrl+Shift+B. It works
for me in the ANSI version, but I don't remember what I did to make it work.
It's a plugin functionality (TextFX), and I think shortcuts for native funcs
override those. Try setting up some other shortcut.

Japanese In Simplified Chinese OS

Hi,
I'm using the notpad++ 5.1.2 Unicode version, on Simplified Chinese Windows
XP.
When I want to input some Japanese in the document, it just became some
unrelated
characters. But when the document itself is encoded in unicode (for example,
utf8), the problem disappears.
I've check out the source in the SVN repository and found that the scintilla
window has to convert the unicode string returned by the IME into DBCS string
when the document is not encoded in unicode. During the conversion, it uses
IME codepage instead of system ANSI codepage, which caused my problem here,
because the IME codepage of the Japanese IME is 932, and my system ANSI codepage
is 936.
Thank you.

Can I increment a field?
I would like to generate the following w/o manually incrementing the numerical
value
data0
data1
data2
either using paste multiple w/ increment or
a find and replace operation on
data0
data0
data0
