hi,
when you want to drag a file from the tabbar to the edge of the document window
you can choose wether to duplicate or move to other view. in 5.1.2 it both says
"duplicate".
it tested it with editing
<Tabbar>...
<Item order = "6" name = "shouldn't be twice here"/>
...
and you get:
shouldn't be twice here
shouldn't be twice here
regards
bitchin' McLoo

Hey, I'm really new at programing, and I have no idea how to use Notepad++ to
compily C++ files to executable.
I'd really like anyone of you to tell me how to configure my notepad to do
so.. by the way, I only have cigwin to compile files. If you want to suggest
another compiler, it would also be fine.
Thanks everyone.

Hi,
For some reason Notepad++ keeps creating a new startmenu item everytime I open
Notepad++ although I moved the startmenu item to a subfolder. Any way of
deativating
this?
Using Windows Vista, if that makes a difference.

I'm brand new to NPP (just today).
How can I get NPP to perform autocomplete for BOTH php and html? 99% of the
Web pages I create have .php extensions and include a combination of php and
HTML code.
I tried appending all of the autocomplete keywords from the html.xml file to
the bottom of the php.xml file, but that didn't work.
Surely I'm missing something basic...
TIA,
Jeff

I started tinkering with linux (Ubuntu 8.04/8.10 32bit and 64bit flavors) again
and finally figured out to combination to make Notepad++ work 100%
The FAQ on the main home page is outdated so here is needed update!
I've havent seen a post yet that simply stated the right configuration so I'd
thought I'd share it here.
Whats needed
1. Wine version 1.0.1 or higher
2. Winetricks (wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks)
What to do:
1. Run Winetricks from terminal with "sh winetricks"
2. Install comctrl32 (this will override wine's dll with native windows
version)
Thats it. Now your pimping the best text editor under linux :)
Note: If you don't install the comctrl32 the biggest bug is no right-click menu
on the Tabs.

I have defined User language for extension ".nc". The files are C-like language
and are coded in unix-ansi. When for given component - let say comment Block,
there is no Font change, I can write in file comments in Cyrillic, and it is
readable. If I decide to select other Font, the new font is applied with
encoding
which is not Cyrillic, and the text is not readable any more. I have changed,
few Fonts and saw that in fact only few Fonts do not have such encoding. Is
there any chance to add way to set default encoding for given file extension,
and in the fonts selections in every component type, to show only fonts that
do have that encoding?
