I'm using XP Pro x64
When I open something from FTP explorer, edit and save/upload it, Notepad
crashes.
Error dialog says that ComparePlugin.dll has some issues.
Didn't have this in previous notepads.

NP++ again.

I know I can configure it, but the default setting for comments is borderline
offensive to any programmer.

What version are you using? Starting from version 5.1 (or maybe 5.1.1, can't
remember...) Comic Sans is no longer the default font.
Anyway, maybe I'm alone, but I actually like it, so much that I've changed my
configuration file so that I have Comic Sans again.

This forum removes indentation, so we can't see what you mean. Anyway, if you
are having trouble with indentation, it might be that you are using the
Auto-indent
plugin. Look into the Plugin menu: if you see the "Autoindent" field, you have
it. Try turning it off, it's still under development.

Single quotes are not properly escaped in SQL files. Double quotes are escaped
correctly though. View the following in an SQL file to see it in action.
'Doesn\'t escape single quotes';
"\"Double quotes\" escape fine";

IMHO, the best full-featured IDE for C++ development under Windows is Visual
C++ Express 2008 (it's free). It's easy to install and use, but originally it
creates executable files which are not compatible with Windows 9x (in case you
plan to develop something for these old systems). So, if you don't need Windows
9x support, then Visual C++ Express 2008 is the best choice.
