my npp 5.1.4 sometimes crash on exit but not only with ascii file. sometimes
when I open one file my npp crash on exit. when I try one more time with the
same file everything was alright.

i had a kind of a similar problem and the only solution i could find was to
recreate the language as a custom language and then edit its associated files.
you can copy all the attributes of your language from the two built in language
files into the userlangs.xml file. just dont forget to disable the built in
version if you do that.
i think the function autocomplete gets a bit messed up if the new language has
the same name. so name it something else and rename the autocomplete file to
the new name.
but maybe theres a better solution all together?

Hi
Is there a setting that i can use to force notepad++ to use a specifiec language
(e.g. xml) for a given file extension other than, for example .xml. Basically
i want to open *.config files and have notepadd++ use xml as the language.

Hi all,
Is it possible to get small search dialog in the toolbar? Like google search
in right top of toolbar of browser.
The search dialog stays on top all the time and is really annoying and
obstructing
view particular when I have more than one files open.
I have notepad++ v5.1.3

The answer for the below questions in the notepad++ FAQ page seems to be
outdated.
When I paste text, it is appended with NULL characters and other random data,
why does this happen?
I do not see any such option. It would be great if someone updated the FAQ or
this forum to tell which option that answer is referring to.
