I agree with Mark. Those big black CR/LF symbols are just about the only fault
I find with N++.

I do have my own User Language Define System.
I like to use a letterfont with equal space of every charakter.
However every font (also courier new) does not give me equal proportinal of
every character.
If I slect 'normal text' it is ok.
Must I install a special font for this ?
Rien

I have just downloaded Notepad++ and have figured out to find and to replace
a word in a batch of files. However, the files are not saved when I exit -
and the only way I have been able save anything so far is one file at the time,
which is extremely time consuming. What am I missing here?
How can I make Notepad++ resave automatically all the documents in which words
have been replaced???
Please help!

Would it be possible to add a setting that would allow for the program to auto
minimise when the last document is closed.

That would have been great - except that when I tried, 'Save All' saves all
the files into one single file. When I click 'Save All', it opens the 'Save
As' box which requires that I give a name to the file into which everying is
saved.
Please, any more suggestions?

Just installed myself, created and saved 2 new files "new 1" and "new 2"
typed the word "test" into each of them.
clicked Search then replace
entered test and testing into the "Find what" and "Replace with" boxes
clicked "Replace all in all opened documents"
it found/replaced 2 matches
claicked File, "Save all" (ctrl-shift-s)
worked as expected, saved all open documents
clicking on the "save session" prompts with the "save as" dialog
clicking on "save all" with an unsaved(new) document also prompts with "save
as"...
Maybe you clicked the wrong thing or had "new" un-named, unsaved documents?

You need to have a "key" to tag the close fold...
i set open to "buy" and close to ".."(dot dot)
buy groceries
milk
bread
..
buy electronics
speakers
..
buy other
test1
test2
..
^^^^^^^^^^^ this folded properly when i chose "Language" and "todo lists" <--
my name for the custome language.
tabs, spaces, no matter... just "buy" and anything till ".." is folded.

I noticed in the "langs.xml"
<Language name="php" ext="php php3 phtml"
this is a function of php4 & 5...
maybe they just haven't maintained the list in the built in languages.
not sure if langs.xml or langs.model.xml, but they could be added to one/both?
of those.
http://www.php.net/quickref.php <-- 5350 functions suitable for copy/paste
into Notepad++ (replace \r\n with " " space for inclusion into langs file.)
