It sure should be helpful for newbies. As long as you can setup a development
environment and have some idea on what you'd want your lexer to do you should
be good to go. For the most part, one of the existing lexers from Scintilla
would already have the logic you want to use and it is simply a matter
of cut-and-paste and customize.
If you want the source for this project ( I used MS Visual C++ 2008 Express
) I'll be glad to email it to you. Send me the email via the sourceforge email
form on where you want it sent to.

OK, it's fixed.
It'll be in the next release (v5.2)

Hi Norman!
I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand what you want. What do you mean by "2
FIXED 'load/save' addresses." and "buffer zone"?

>>I'm not being told of any debug file being created, but I did get an error
screen and then a second one if I click the "retry" button and skip the submit
error to Microsoft box.
Its one of the exceptions that is not being caught by the debugger, so it wont
create a dump file, ill think about changing it (it means the way it works now
is going to be altered, you I have to be careful with that)

Yo,
No idea, people have asked this for such a long time, but no avail...
Someone should create a plugin that works like Microsoft Office's
AutoRecovery...
Or is it already there?

OK; why in the world is the downloaded N++ 5.1.4 zip soooo much slower (and
quirkier) than a Debug build running in a VM?
I've been testing our PowerShell lexer in a VM and thought it was good to go.
Then I moved it to the host system, using the N++ downloaded binary and tested
it on a 500+ line long .ps1 file and it is so slow as to be almost unusable.
And there is an _odd_ issue with an endPos calculation. I'm in a block of code
that is highlighted; and when I type the highlight in a completely different
code block ( 10 lines below ) gets shorter by 1 with each new letter typed.
Because of the way the lexer updates, I can CTRL-TAB toggle and the highlight
updates just fine.
This is NOT happening with the release or debug build built on the downloaded
5.1.4 source at all.
What in the world is going on here?!?
