Thanks for the FTP plugin.
I have one FTP server that it fails on that is running OpenVMS using HP TCPIP
FTP.
I understand that supporting different server types is a pain (FTP does not
define the listing format).
Is the source code available so I could add support for OpenVMS FTP?
Or is FTP_synchronize using a library to parse the ftp listing that I could
work on/contribute to?
There are several ftp list parsers available out there:
http://slavon.net/portf/prog/parseftplist/
http://cr.yp.to/ftpparse.html
I have not tried any of them myself nor can I vouch for them.
I am will to contribute time, brain power, and coding to at VMS support.
Thanks
-Wonko

Hi.
I finally got the following regex, which is a slightly modified version of your
original regex, to work:
^[ ]*/\*[^[/]*+]*[^*/][^/]$
Previously, it would ignore '/' + multiple '*', e.g. /******* .... ***/
I think the reason it did not work for me the first time was because I missed
the part about setting the 'Recurse Repl' checkbox (D'oh!)
I'm still not sure how it's able to span across the linebreaks, but hey - it
works!
Thanks for all your help!

Hello
Notepad++ is now replacing text instead of inserting text.
How do I get it to insert text again?
Thanks, Michael

The conventional texts can make a software LOOK professional, but they don't
make it professional.
It's not my original intention to appall people, this message won't be modified
for any religious reason.

You mean that when you type, text is replaced instead of added?
Try pressing the Insert Key on your Keyboard and try again...

Sorry,
I didn't know that; I just knew that WER Files were like that and that many
files result in NUL characters...
Thanks for the info!

Why are you using three exclamation marks?
It this a matter of life and death?

So, if you mean to add this to your former post, why don't you add it as a reply
to that instead of starting a new thread?
Next to that, what the hell are you trying to say?
Pooh, I could come up with a lot of other options that might come in handy for
some specific purpose, but I won't come screaming for them.
Perhaps you could even look for or think about other ways to achieve what you
want using functionality that currently _is_ part of Notepad++.

Let me add one thing to this nonsense discussion. Most has been said about it
already.
I think the message is perfect for two reasons:
1. If there would be any God at all, I think the guy would also never want this
exception to occur. So he is just being cooperative in damning it.
2. People arguing against this error message clearly demonstrate the nonsense
of religion itself. They just say you can't say something like this because
they are hurt, oh boy. If there would be any God at all, then why does he
support
people that keep hurting our feelings by telling we should believe in him,
instead
of the truth. It's out there!
