How many folks here use 2 views?
I use this feature a lot, as I came from an Emacs background where I typically
used between 2 and 4 views simultaneously.
Tell me if you agree with this:
If I have a view in focus, it seems to me that File -> Open should open the
file into the current view, regardless of whether the file is already open in
another window.
In Emacs, if the file happens to be open already, the buffer is cloned into
the current view. That behavior makes a lot of sense, because the only reason
to do a File -> Open is if you don't remember whether the file is already open.
With the current behavior, Notepad++ may open the file into the OTHER view,
which is not what I wanted. To work around the problem, it is not as easy as
using "Go to another view", because Notepad++ loses track of what you were
previously
looking at in that view.

Hello,
The default font is too small for comments. I can't read them.
I click SETTINGS, STYLER CONFIGURATOR, and change ASP, COMMENT LINE to size 12.
The next day, I open a document and the font is back to tiny. I open the STYLER
CONFIGURATOR and it still reads 12 but is really more like 8.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Cliff

When the user start Incremental Search, the 'Find' field is pre-filled with
the word under the current cursor. This feature may work well on normal search,
but the incremental search.
The nature of incremental search is search as you type, hence the user will
have a better search experience if the 'Find' field is left empty. Or at least
the pre-filled text are pre-selected (actually this is how is done on the normal
search) so user can immediately type the new search text. I use incremental
search a lot, and never find any need to have the 'Find' field pre-filled.
I also would like to have an easy keyboard shortcut to do next/previous
in incremental search, most of the editor use Alt+N & Alt+P, for Next and
Previous
search respectively. This means, if the user type Alt+I (or other shortcut key
he mapped to start the incremental search) then Alt+P (as by default the
incremental
search start with forward direction), then start typing, it immediately perform
backward incremental search.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers //Edo

Hi Duane
Now it is Ctrl+F3 and Ctrl+Shift+F3. You can use the Shortcut mapper to change
this.
