Was looking for a lightweight html text editor to use on my laptop while desktop
is being repaired. Accustomed to Homesite 5.

Couple of glitches I've noticed.
#1. With my current configuration any modified lines are highlighted and the
highlight does not go away unless I close and reopen the file, even after
saving.
I've spent a lot of time working with the configurations and highlighting, but
I can't find any reason for this behavior. I have a black background background
for everything, and nothing is to white, yet edited lines are highlighted white.
#2. Opening multiple Views with "Go To Another View" does strange things under
certain circumstances: Selecting "Go To Another View" with only one file open;
selecting "Go To Another View" from the right side makes files vanish from the
editor.

Jens,
Do you can release the source code of the function list 2.0 beta. I am sure
that someone will be able to port it to unicode version.
This function list 2.0 is fantastic so it has to be ported to unicode. Jens
if you want to make something better again than the 2.0 with another
arhitecture,
you will create the function list 3.0

1 I Open the File
2 - I Copy a line with the text
3 - I insert the text into option Replace
4 - I Enter the text in " Replace witch: " on cyrillics
5 - I Press button Replace - nothing occurs, only goes down to the following
similar text. And it replaces subsequent times. BUT ONLY NOT WHICH I COPIED
THAT COPY FOR REPLACEMENT.
6 - If I press " Replace All " that are replaced all similar text, but that
that copied for an example of replacement - VANISHES.
It is a rare problem!
Plugins are absent!

LS,
I was wondering why some 3rd party program wasn't able to parse the files I
saved with NP++.
It seems that it's saving the files with Unix linebreaks, and that's weird,
because the setting is set to "Windows". I tried changing it back and forth,
without any success.

This may be a stupid question but have you put the cursor back to the top of
the file before pressing Find?
There may also be a thing about pressing Find before Replace.
Also, if there is only one occurrence of the string, the replace may not
producing
what you expect.
Finally, is the search string correct? Silly I know but if the string has an
error in it, the search will not be successful.
One last thing, what does the dialog say? Does it say 'x' strings replaced or
does it say 'can't find string'. If you haven't seen the dialog with title
'Replace'
it may be hidden under another window.

I'm guessing.
Are you saving the file as a Unix file type? It may be using LFs instead CRLF.
As I say, I'm guessing. If so, confirm by saving the file as txt and then
changing
the extension before parsing the file.
