In media players, you press a button on your keyboard and then you press it
again to reverse it back to normal...
Very simple concept. Pressing the button again restores it back to normal.

Yeah, this is a very old thread, but filobus brought me back to it.
I think those two things mentioned by gr3gw should be fixed.
i.e. the window should move and that you should have a hotkey to access other
docs.

Really?
Everything I copy from my browser with Ctrl-C pastes into Notepad++ with
Ctrl-V...
Try using Edit-->Copy in IE or the similar thing in Firefox (I don't remember,
I haven't used Firefox in a long time, been sticking to Google Chrome)

If you are looking for a quick reference on what the Scintilla component spports
- that's what you get in N++ -, check out this page:
http://www.scintilla.org/ScintillaDoc.html
On that page, search for "regex", and you'll land close to the place of
interest.
Now, if what you are looking for is a generel introduction to regular
expressions,
I'd eally turn to wikipedia.
I did use some docs for old software which I found really valuable for grasping
how regeexes work, but I can't seem to find them on Google. If you chance upon
a DOS util distributed as isptt.zip, you'll be lucky.

Good time of day. I have been using notepad ++ as its main text editor, and
now use the D language. Therefore, there is the question: will be added support
D in the future, and if so, when this happens?

If you are looking for a tutorial on regular expressions, here you go:
http://www.regular-expressions.info/
Notepad++ doesn't support some features: alternation "|", the question mark
"?", repetitions with curly brackets such as "{2,4}", lookahead, and the syntax
for word boundaries is different. You find everything in Christian's link.

Hi all,
First, is it reasonable to make the following assumption about the use of
vertical
column selection?
If you select a column, and then press TAB, then that column and everything
to the right of it should move one TAB space to the right.
This does not seem to work, as shown in the following page, copied from inside
notepad++.
This is the original text:
--------------------------
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
I want the columns to be arranged like the following paragraph: (I have arranged
them manually here):
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
Here I will highlight the second column, and try to move it a few tab spaces
to the right:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
hello world!
Result: The whole line gets indented, not only the second columns. What is the
advantage of vertical selection then?
I am looking for a capability similar to CodeWright's, but can't find it
anywhere,
I miss CodeWright :o(
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sadeq1
