Since you cannot enter command line switches using a double click, this issue
has plagued many Windows apps.
I have been using execparm for years. It is a small, free shell add-on which
adds a new entry called Execute with parameters to the context menu on right
clicking an executable. Clicking this entry displays an Ok/Cancel dialog box
with a text field to type switches and other arguments into. Nice for occasional
needs.

Current Regular Expressions does not support many characters as in Perl regex
engines. Could u pls keep this in mind for your future enhancements.

This is great to know, but why can't N++ handle uncorrupted files similar to
this? Perhaps I'm missing a menu option to tell N++ to display it properly.
For example, the CHKDSK log file created by my Windows 2008 Server shows with
NUL between each and every character, where as opening the same file in standard
Notepad shows correctly.

Doesn't work for me. I change the option to "Encode in UTF-8" and the file
remains
the same :-(
The standard Notepad doesn't have an issue with the files.

I'm in the editor and I highlighted a block of codes, how do I move them to
the left without the editor wiping them out? Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks...

The Format menu has three options on the top: convert to format: Windows / Unix
/ Mac.
These correspond to the three known standards: CR+LF for Windows and DOS, LF
for Unix and CR for old Mac.
Check with your administrator which line endings are required. My bet would
be Unix, because Windows is more olerant, usually.

All Right.
After below modify, notepad++ will highlight c files as c++. But I think it
doesn't matter for me read a c file by c++ format.

Joaqu?n,
Thank you for the information! The bcp application did indeed help isolate
the files needed.

Jens,
I used the boost bcp application, as suggested by Joaqu?n in the NppPluginIface
thread to determine which headers we'd need to include with the ChangeMarkers
project and there are 1712 of them.
If we want to move forward on having this project as part of the NppPlugins
project I guess the next thing to do is retool the project, but prior to doing
that I'd like to find out if Don might rather have the functionality built
directly
into N++.
