Hi Guys
I use Notepad ++ for editing my html and I think its great.
However when I type tags etc my screen comes up with some text highlighted in
various colors.
Obviously they are warnings
Can anyone point me to a place where I can find what each color means ?
I have searched the Notepad++ help file with no luck.
Kind Regards
Digby

Well it has always worked for me... maybe it's a problem with your PC / Internet
connection?

Hi!
I have noticed N++ works perfectly in linux (using Wine), except for the right
click menu on tabs (it just never appears). Other right click menus work
perfectly.
I was wondering if there was some kind of "weird programation trick" working
for the display of such menus, and if that would explain this particular
problem.
If the method to display such menus were changed I'm sure N++ would achieve
100% compatibility with linux (a dream for loyal N++ users who also like linux).
Well, maybe not 100% as it will always be focused on Windows, but at least
common
users wouldn't notice.
Are there any plans for this small change?
Regards,
Dany Alejandro (Colombia)

I agree this is an annoying change, and at the very least should be available
as a configuration option.
Yes there is a dropdown for recently used directories, but by the time you've
got C:\Documents and settings\Username then the rest of the path isn't visible.

The path length in the File Menu's Recent Files list is an issue for users that
use deep folder structures.
I would like to suggest an enhancement for dealing with this.
A preference for Recent Files:
[_] Full path
[_] Filename Only
[_] Enclosing Folder and Filename
Another term for 'enclosing folder' is 'parent folder'.

They are XML files that reside in [npp dir]\plugins\APIs. The files should
already
be there wehn you install notepad++ you should just enable autocompletion from
the program settings.

Incremental search (Ctrl + I, and then first characters of searched phrase)
like in Visual Studio would be a great improvement.
Also Ctrl + F4 for closing current document would be nice.

No, they are not warnings. It's called syntax highlighting. If it distracts
you, I think you can turn it off somewhere in the options. But I think most
people love it.

OK, let's put it in this way.
First I have to start my python command such as:
cmd /c C:\python25\python.exe
Without "cmd /c" I couldn't manage to show the application GUI. Please try this
and try to end the python execution without using CTRL-C. I seem can't
communicate
to the cmd windows any longer to close it. If there is a method to do this,
then I think I'll be all set.
All I'd like to achieve is to skip pushing the "Send" or Enter each time I run
to debug.
Side note: you seem already have implemented the Terminate in the dbox even
though you think it is "unsafe" (together with showing a text that it is not
recommended). I think this is all fine. Now creating a Npp_Terminate would do
exactly the same thing or? If the "not recommended" text make it safe, then
you can of course have a similar text beside the command in the help (like
unsafe,
use it on your risk or whatever).
PS. There are many unsafe objects in the world which are much worse (drugs,
guns, power, etc) and people use or abuse them with their insight. Having a
terminate command is probably not much more dangerous. :)
