I guess now it's even worse with the Ctrl+Shift+Tab setting. Looks like you
_only_ switched the descriptions of the menu items.
With the keys set according to the descriptions, the behavior is the other way
around: Ctrl+Tab = previous document.
I changed the key combo's back and now I don't see the File Switcher dialog
anymore, probably because it "thinks" that Ctrl+Tab <> next document.

Search actions had been recordable in macros in early versions of NP++. I think
that was discontinued aoundv5.2, because the way they were recorded had very
undesirable efects.
I have started trying to bring that back with proper behaviour. This is far
from a trivial change. Perhaps Don will beat me to it, or I won't be able to
get it working.
The only option I see right now is to use a keyboard macro recorder like
AutoHotKey
and use that external macro facility to drive NP++.

Erm how do I +1 it?
I handled the keywords via the files you suggested. Thanks a lot.
@ item 2.: object is not a reserved PHP keyword.
@ item 3.: Will the search settings be saved from session to session?
@ item 5.: Since you can set the font size per language/file type, we should
be able to do so with the print margin as well, since different language font
sizes give different printed margins when used with a global setting.

How can I modify the included styles so that indented pod code samples are
background
shaded like other POD code?

That is assuming you have installed it, since NppPlugin_ChangeMarker.dll is
not an official part of 5.3.1. If you have installed it disabling is as simple
as using the Plugin Menu->Change Markers->Disable Tracking for Doc or Disable
Plugin

RE: item # 2: Menu Settings | Styler Configurator | PHP
In style, select WORD. You'll see that you can add user defined keywords.
I've used that with Python to have 'self' highlighted.
As for preserved settings, I suggest you do as I've done for that tabs, and
file in a feature request.
To "+1" go to the feature request, and add a comment that you'd like to see
that happen too.
joce.

Glad to hear that worked out! Will be trying the new version soon.
re: Changing the buffer activation message
Recently a message was added for file open that is similar to what you suggest
for buffer activation and I agree that a message being sent prior to the buffer
being activated would be nice. Perhaps in the next major release.

Chris;
I have tried editing and 'discussing' via the new wiki interface several times
since it was activated and it is still closed (Permission Denied) to users that
are not a part of the 'admin' group for the wiki.
I had thought this was done on purpose until the 'base' setup was done...
Perhaps
not? BTW - You're doing an awesome job on getting all of that information put
on it.

Chris,
garthex has changed over the npp_gmod_lua external lexer to the Notepad++
External
Lexers plugin template (
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6360852
) yet I did not hear word if his template/tutorial had also switched.
The NppExtLexer plugin does include a template, tutorial for new, copied, and
converted user language, and a few samples.
