Thanks for the clarification Chris.
Yes, I do you use TextFX to some, but I do alot of cut and paste from Word to
web form, and the formatting is helpfully pasted along with text, so I end up
cutting to NPP, converting quotes and getting rid of other stuff, then pasting
into the form.
since I do the same thing all the time, I was hoping for a one button solution.

To go to next line, define a macro as <End> <Right>, and bind it to a key of
your choice.
Concerning the shortcut for closing found resul window, post this
on IdeaTorrent.
Concerning wrong encoding, this is worth filing a bug report.

My current version is Notepad++ 5.3.1. I don't want the newer versions for now
(5.4.3, 5.4.4 seem to have too many problems not resolved yet).
I installed 5.3.1 by running the file directly, without downloading.
Unfortunately
I need today to reinstall it (to try add "NppAutoIndent"). But the site has
been changed, and now the
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=95717&package_id=102072
page I linked above (Thu 27 Mar 2008 10:36:10 GMT), doesn't link any more the
old versions.
Anyone can tell me where I can get NP++ 5.3.1? TIA,

Sorry i didn't reply to "Don HO" 2008-04-19 02:41.
In facts it appears "Ctrl+S" saves the file *only if it has changed*.
This is IMO an error, because users (as me) expect Ctrl+S to save *anyway*.
Making things happen NOT AS EXPECTED is always a possible source of problems,
like time losses, data losses, errors; particularly when dealing with *saving
files*.
In addition it adds an unnecessary complication, which also is a *sure* source
of *future* bugs or failures (as I have seen in decades of working in
development
teams).

TextFX Viz -> Hide lines without (Clipboard). Be sure to cut the text you want
prior.
Now you have two sets of lines, one visible, one hidden. Select All, and TextFX
Viz -> Cut/Copy/Delete Visuble/Invisible Selection.
I just made a macro out of this, and it plays back correctly.
