I checked Microsoft Office Word 2007 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007.
You can save even if document is unchanged.

I dunno if this is where I'd do this, but, I'd like to see if anyone could make
an AppleScript language plugin for NPP. I do AppleScript, and just lost my
mac, but, I'd like to be able to write my scripts. If anyone could do this,
I'd be extremely grateful

Hello,

I do not use any plugin.

And I only click on the icon (double floppy), it is faster for me.

Hi,

1) I cannot check the box auto-update
2) Is there a difference between auto-update and auto-save?
Where can I decide the conditions for auto-save?

Thanks
Dieter

I'm not 100% sure, but i expect you can only check the auto-update box, if you
have the updater installed. Either reinstall notepad++, or grab one of the
zip or 7z archives, and copy the "updater" directory to your Notepad++ directory
(probably C:\program files\Notepad++).

Auto save saves a file automatically, I think this is done in the AutoSave
plugin
- see http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Plugin_
Central for the list of plugins. Plugin Manager (another plugin on that list)
will install AutoSave for you, if you want.

hth
Dave.

corrects this.

Why shouldn't CR LF pairs be counted as two characters? They are there. Just
like white spaces and tabs, which I assume you also will not count as the number
of space characters they "occupy" in the layout.

Why don't you just shut up and start working on your own editor?

You seem so convinced that you know best... Why are you trying to convince
others
which apparently isn't getting any success at all?

So, who cares, really? No, really?!

I agree with Don. This has been the behavior for years. No-one complained.

And now one single individual on its own thinks this is soooo wrong. Too bad
he can't argue in a normal way and has no arguments that really count.

If you need to save your file SO BADLY just press a key and remove the character
and save your damned "changed", but equal, file.
