Make a tab, press enter, and N++ automatically indents the next line. Good.
Now delete the tab and press enter. Rather than creating a new empty
line, N++ adds a tab.
Is there any option to disable this annoying feature? Or can I code an
option in the config menu?
Thanks,
E. Tamasdan

I personally have several crashes experience with Window Manager plugin, that's
why it has never been included in Notepad++ release.
Your "access violtion" could be related with this plugin, I suggest to remove
it in order to keep your Notepad++ stable.
> MATCH WHOLE WORD, MATCH CASE, WRAP were not selected.
Tested with v5.4.5 under xp sp3, it works for me.
One scenario I could image is the cursor is on the end of document, and WRAP
is not checked.
Check wrap may remedy your problem.

What you can do is this:
1/ find a different font which support the OEM code page. It should be a
TrueType
font.
2/ backup linedraw.ttf in Notepad++'s installation folder
3/ copy your font file as a replacement, renaming it to linedraw.ttf
4/ now things should look more to your liking.

...'If a line has both saved and unsaved changes, the marker being shown is
the Saved marker, which is hiding the fact that yet another change took place
ever since.'...
That is slightly inaccurate. It only happens when the change takes place on
the same line directly after the save. This bug and one other ( can't recall
it specifically at the moment ) have both been reported in the forums ( which
my search didn't find this time :/ ) and are both slated to be fixed for 5.5.
Right now I am doing much work on the developer community side of things with
git and source project stuff so I haven't even taken the time to look at the
code lately. But I _do_ remember that it looked like an obvious ommission on
my part and just need to be fixed and tested.
Like I said... it _is_ on my todo list.
Thank you for reporting it though. It is nice to know the plugin is useful
enough that people actually pay attention to those little marks. :)

I've tried and it didn't do anything interesting. I don't see what the font
type has to do with the formatting

The only plugins I've added are Plugin Manager and Window Manager.
I have not messed with the command switches.
Currently using v5.4.5 on XP and Windows 2000. I always upgrade to the latest
version because I was hoping to get rid of those blasted "access violation"
crashes.
I racked my brain and was able to remember the last search that had the problem
... I had the following 4 identical lines in a new tab:
/var/www/html/s4/<StoreName>/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php
/var/www/html/s4/<StoreName>/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php
/var/www/html/s4/<StoreName>/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php
/var/www/html/s4/<StoreName>/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php
I did a search and replace to replace <StoreName> with "hftw" and it found zero
occurrances when I can clearly see four ... I was able to reproduce this just
now ... however last week it found three and missed one. Search mode is NORMAL.
MATCH WHOLE WORD, MATCH CASE, WRAP were not selected. IN SELECTION was not
checked. I usually have bunches of tabs but for today's test, just one, so
I was not using ALL CURRENT DOCs or FIND IN FILES. The search box does seem
to go transparent when I shift focus to type this, but I didn't mess with that.
