While you are viewing this message, hover your mouse pointer over the Forums
link above (same line as Summary |Files | Support....). It has a search
function
that will allow you to search the forums specific to NP++.

To clarify - I can print to pdf in notepad++. And if I print that pdf page,
it prints with no problems to my printer. Same page automatically jams my
printer.
Doesn't matter what is on the page. It could just be one word and it'll jam up

Select a keyword you want all occurrences highlighted, then Search -> Mark All
-> Using nth style, where n is between 1 and 5. Repeat procedure for each
keyword.
You can mix and match styles ast your whim.
The appearance for each of the 5 available styles can be set from Settings ->
Styer Configurator -> Global styles, Mark style 1 (or 2, ..)

This is not saved indeed.
You can use TextFX -> TextFX Viz suite o commands to hide/show lines. In
particular,
it ives you the ability to save the current hide/show sequence, and insert a
hide/show sequence, to the effect of being able to save hiding configuration
from a Notepad++ session to the next. However, since a hide/show sequence is
basd on absolute line numbers, it must be regenerated whenever a line is
added/deleted. Unfortunately, TextFX won't give you a hide/show sequnce for
lines hidden using Hide lines
CChris

My mistake ... the correct syntax is:
perl -pe "s/^((?:[^;]*;){7}[^;]*);/\1/;" my_file.csv
I'm ashamed!

just stick
> newfile.txt
on the end of your command, and it will dump the output to the newfile.txt.

i opend many files (>100) and did a replace over all files.
-i dont want to save-
After that, if i wish to close all tabs, i have to answer NO to all save
dialogs.
In windows there is a undocumented feature of the -yes/ yes for all/no- dialog.
if held shift while clicking NO its like 'no for all'.
Click once, close all.
That would be a nice feature for npp.
Thank you,
michael

Thanks for the reply, however I couldn't get it to do what I wanted, I have
a long script file which I edit from time to time, and its annoying to use the
search function every time to go to a certain line, would be nice to give some
sections headlines and then hide the content of that section and ofcourse save
changes on exit.
TextFX couldn't do that, every time I relaunch my hidden lines were not hidden
anymore.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I tried that before (and again just now)
and when I double-click on the saved session (with the .npp++ file extension),
it opens the file for editing and does not open any of the associated files.
