Our of curiosity I checked whether any interference with FunctionList might
be involved. The answer is negative - with HexEditor and without FL, the issue
remains. However, the memory fooprint dropped from 114Mo to 21Mo by not loading
FL. I wonder if this is expected.

Hi,
I am new to npp, but have used PSPad for the last few years and have used it
extensively with external tools and applications.
I am curious on npp and if I will be able to use the "same way".
What I want is to run e.g. sql queries on a selected databaseserver and
retrieve
any response back into npp.
Today I do this by selecting the querytext (or run the entire file), specifying
the databaseserver in a dialogbox and sending this to a powershellscript that
will send the actual query to the database using the sqlcmd utility.
Is this possible in npp? If so, any quick help on how to set this up?
Thanks,

Is it possible to move 2 or more lines up or down with the keyboard?
I know you can drag a selection with the mouse.
I tried ctrl-shift up/down. But this moves only 1 line.

If you want to change the font size/type etc across all languages go to "Global
Styles", set the properties how you want, and lastly check the boxes that you
want forced everywhere.

It there somebody out who can compile a version of HexEditor with the latest
version of VisualStudio? I have the problem with PostIt just sometimes. The
issue vanishes when I recompile the HexEditor.
Best Regards
Jens

Hi,
Is there a way to have whats under the notepad++ window shine through? Just
like 50% transparency, for example so I can see my Photoshop design under the
notepad++ window where I am coding in? Thanks!

Just reporting in to say that Notepad++ hasn't crashed since my last report
in July. This was accomplished by removing all of the plugins except the
function
list. This is the only one I needed anyways... so that worked out for me.

I'm sorry but don't get what you mean.
I also think that Notepad++ looks in the wrong directory.
But what you mean by "changing the behaviour of the open/save directory"?
I've placed the compressed file in c:\ and it still happens.

convert lines like:
var1 = recordset.fields("fieldname1").value
var2 = recordset.fields("fieldname2").value
to:
recordset.fields("fieldname1").value = var1
recordset.fields("fieldname2").value = var2
and it could use clipboard character instead of "=" but maybe "=" would be the
character 99.99% of the time, anyway.
If this already exists under a different name, well I couldn't tell because
I had "swap sides" on my brain

Try setting the editor in 7-Zip
7-Zip File Manager: Tools -> Options -> Editor tab: specify path to Notepad++
In 7-Zip File Manager right-clicking a file and selecting Edit will use
Notepad++

No sir it does not; it opens the session file for editing and does not open
any of the associated files.
That's weird. :\

I use Madotate to turn windows into 3D planes with a label. The angle and
orientation
of the 3D translucent representations can be changed with the mouse. Using a
small angle can probably acheve something like you wish.
Now, if you want to be able to type into the editor while seeing the
backgrond...
Perhaps Peep Show Lite is ok. It does not make the window translucent, but
allows
holes of various kinds in the window.
Both are freeware, I use them on XP.
CChris
