I can accept collateral damage to the mapreduce code, because I can review and 
fix all the affected stuff there, but everything does need to be relatively 
stable to fix that stuff. I'm more generally concerned about "collateral 
damage" to other parts of the code, if there were any other changes that got 
reverted.
