Christopher Tubbs commented on ACCUMULO-1427:
---------------------------------------------

I would love for out-of-the-box support for looking in standard system library
locations, and the ability to override this out-of-the-box behavior, with
configuration.

> Investigate a different way to inform the InMemoryMap where to load the

> I was investigating the possibility of allowing the user to specify an
> alternate location for the native map binaries. This would make the
> configuration more extensible and allow a system admin to reference the
> compiled binaries from anywhere on the system. One option could be to specify
> an ACCUMULO_NATIVE_MAP environment variable or something similar and having
> he InMemoryMap class do its System.load() from there if it exists.
