I'm a big fan of this, but I think it's outside the scope of Accumulo. We can
support this by being responsive to tickets that make it easier, but I think
it's hard for us to try to be both package maintainers for every conceivable
target system, as well as be developers for the software itself.
I'm not closing this ticket, because I think it would be great if somebody
submitted a patch to homebrew, and this is one way a newbie could begin to
contribute to the Accumulo community. I just think it might be outside the
scope of Accumulo upstream development.
