Christopher Tubbs commented on ACCUMULO-3178: --------------------------------------------- It was brought up in ACCUMULO-3181 that the VolumeChooser isn't strictly public API, even though it is selectable in the system-wide configuration properties, which is considered public API. I think it's the intention that the VolumeChooser (and other server-side pluggable components) should be in the public API, but the fact remains it is not currently. Currently, the examples use stuff not in the public API, but the goal of ACCUMULO-1641 is that the examples only use the public API at some point. I don't know what the implications for this are for this issue. Should the VolumeChooser be declared public API first? Given that it's pluggable, it may already be expected to be public API. > Create example preferred volumes chooser > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: ACCUMULO-3178 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-3178 > Project: Accumulo > Issue Type: Sub-task > Reporter: Jenna Huston > Assignee: Jenna Huston > > This example VolumeChooser chooses a volume from a user specified list of > preferred volumes for that specific table. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
