Keith Turner created ACCUMULO-3502:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Replication documentation about server timestamps
misleading
                 Key: ACCUMULO-3502
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-3502
             Project: Accumulo
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Keith Turner
             Fix For: 1.7.0

At the end of the replication documentation there is a section titled
{{Server-Assigned Timestamps}}. This section is a bit misleading. I was a bit
confused about it and was discussing on IRC w/ [~elserj]. We think the
section should be generalized a bit and renamed. The section may be more about
replicating exact duplicate keys instead of server assigned timestamps, but I
Am not completely sure about this.
