Fix For: 1.6.2
MAConfig is public api -- with the adoption of semver, we can't add
forward-compatible additions to a patch release (1.6.2).
Need to move this method to the Impl for 1.6.2.
We can consider restoring this method on MAConfig for 1.7.0 if desired.
