In hindsight, it would have been better to use RB.  It hard to track whats 
going on here.   RB issues would have made it easy to see concerns not 
addressed.

A bit ago I ran into a compile issue w/ master caused by this.  On a whim I 
tried git pull and got your update that fixed it.
