Sean Busbey commented on ACCUMULO-3769: --------------------------------------- Okay, the YCSB/YCSB one is a knock-off. IMO, we should press on with use of the brainfrankcooper repo (ref from [official page|http://labs.yahoo.com/news/yahoo-cloud-serving-benchmark/]). I have maintainer-ship there now and I'll be starting community reconstruction soon. If we need any changes in the project for this effort, let me know. > Validate/Inspect YCSB for Accumulo release testing > -------------------------------------------------- > > Key: ACCUMULO-3769 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-3769 > Project: Accumulo > Issue Type: Wish > Components: test > Reporter: Josh Elser > > Tests are great but they're a pain in the butt to come up with. > https://github.com/YCSB/YCSB > YCSB contains some code to actually run against Accumulo. > 1. It would be great if we could have a nice automated way to run YCSB > against Accumulo for releases > 2. It would be good to know that the test in YCSB is doing smart things > I'm not sure what it would take in Accumulo to make YCSB easier to run like > our other tests. At a minimum, some documentation for how to run YCSB (not to > mention our other tests) would be awesome. > In general, some investigation into YCSB to see how we can take advantage of > the code that's already there would be awesome. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
