Closing this for now. No one seems to know what the real initial problem was or where exactly the bottleneck was occurring in the tablet server. In other words, the user had requested a knob to be turned to fine tune performance but we don't know where to put the knob or what it should be tuning. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
