This commit reverts the code in the main branch that was already reverted in 2.1 in #3101. To correctly merge the 2.1 history into the main branch, I've created a noop merge commit 9a787f12b62e865267fb5d28848432048ad3af96 that merges the revert commit in the 2.1 branch at commit 0928f740f9ddf9aeb104d8357f219457e67de925, which was the head of 2.1 at the time. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
