Hi @jr-instantsystem, @Baoyuantop this PR seems to have lost its implementation during a master merge, and it would be a valuable adition to the codebase. The design here already matches what @moonming asked for when closing #12784 (a schema-level field rather than a blanket op_type change), and the tests and docs are already written.
