The current documentation distinguishes bundled and external etcd: etcd.enabled=false only disables installation of the bundled etcd. Deployment modes that use etcd still require externalEtcd.host. See the [current configuration reference](https://github.com/apache/apisix-helm-chart/blob/c511268dd216589e44a7b99ac3f686c0c2e68d1d/charts/apisix/README.md#L226). The original “only installing APISIX” section is no longer present in the current installation guide. I suggest closing this as an outdated documentation issue; disabling bundled etcd does not mean external etcd addresses can be omitted. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
