Description:
The fix for [ASTERIX-1211|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ASTERIXDB-1211]
[1] introduced a test [2] that was removed when merging the release-0.8.8
branch into master as the correct resolution was not clear. The test and the
underlying code should be re-visited to decide on the correct solution and test.
