The asset pipeline plugin's AssetSupportingCachingLinkGenerator, the link generator of nearly every Grails web application, overrides makeKey without calling it, so its keys held the attributes alone: an action-only link rendered by one controller was served to another, and an explicit null namespace was served the cached inferred one. The resolution is now appended by link(), which the plugin does not override, alongside the key makeKey renders.
