Fixed on ``8.1.x``, not on ``8.0.x``. ``CountFinder.applyCriteriaAndCount`` adds each OR criterion with ``Query.add(Junction, Criterion)``. That calls ``resolvePropertyValue``, so an association argument becomes its identifier before Mongo builds the ``$or`` filter. The ``8.0.x`` ``CountByFinder`` calls ``disjunction.add`` directly and skips that resolution, so ``Pet.countByTypeOrName(dogType, 'Jack')`` still counts only the name branch. ``DisjunctionQuerySpec."Count all dogs or pets with the name Jack"`` passed after the new path landed, and ``@PendingFeature`` was removed in 60064c3ef (2026-09-30). That commit is in #16154, merged to ``8.1.x`` as ced76b400 on 2026-10-01. No release tag contains it. ``origin/8.0.x`` (``d13aa332``) still has the old finder and the spec is still ``@PendingFeature``.
