`<g:include params="...">` passes request parameters, and request parameters are strings. A Boolean that was bound into the original `params` map is encoded with `toString()` when the include is dispatched, then read back from the servlet request as a string. That is what the tag documents: `params` is "a Map of request parameters", and `model` is the request attributes passed to an included view. https://docs.grails.org/latest/ref/Tags/include.html In the included action, convert the string with `params.boolean('flag')`. Incoming parameters are documented as typically strings: https://docs.grails.org/latest/guide/theWebLayer.html#typeConverters Closing as not a defect. There is no sample application on the issue. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
