Defining `controllerAnnotations.staticRules` in `application.yml` without an `httpMethod` failed on Grails 4.0.0.RC1. A missing config value was a `NavigableMap.NullSafeNavigator`, and `ReflectionUtils.splitMap` passed that object to `new InterceptedUrl(String, List, HttpMethod)`. `NullSafeNavigator.asBoolean()` now returns false, and `asType` returns null for every type other than boolean. `splitMap` uses `row.httpMethod ?: null` and then `httpMethod as HttpMethod`, so a missing method is null. `InterceptedUrl(String, Collection, HttpMethod)` accepts that null. The `GroovyRuntimeException` from that constructor no longer occurs. Rules in `application.groovy` already worked, as noted on this issue. That navigator behavior was restored in `b92fc877ab` (2024-11-22, #13655). The same `splitMap` is on `8.0.x`, `8.1.x`, and `9.0.x`. The commit is in the 7.0.0 line through 7.2.4, except `v7.0.16`, and in `v8.0.0-M1` through `v8.0.0-RC2`. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
