@jamesfredley, review 5644139826 is addressed in 6945601254, still a single commit on 9.0.x. - **Same-length restart**: `QueryTailFileReader` now reads the run header on every poll and treats a poll as idle only when the run and the length are both unchanged. A restart that rewrites the capture to the same size starts the command over, in the stream and in the summaries. Reader and runner tests cover it, and they fail against the previous reader.
