Hi maintainers 👋 I see this issue was previously assigned, but there hasn’t been recent activity or a PR. If it’s okay, I’d like to work on a minimal fix using `InputSource + StringReader` to avoid UTF-8 byte conversion, while keeping the existing fallback logic unchanged.
