thanks for laying all that out, @chibenwa , appreciated. for file/postgres, since ZstdBlobStoreDAO is just a decorator, getting it properly wired and tested on top of FileBlobStoreDAO and PostgresBlobStoreDAO seems like its own clean follow up PR too.
