Yes, you can configure the default template in the provider metadata. Take [azurecompute-arm](https://github.com/jclouds/jclouds-labs/blob/master/azurecompute-arm/src/main/java/org/jclouds/azurecompute/arm/AzureComputeProviderMetadata.java#L103) as an example. The syntax of that template string is defined by [this class](https://github.com/jclouds/jclouds/blob/master/compute/src/main/java/org/jclouds/compute/domain/TemplateBuilderSpec.java).
