I am hitting the exact same problem reported by Kristian (jcloudsVersion=2.5.0).
I can consistently hit this NPE when listing a bucket that contains a blob with
an unmatched "{" in it's name. Unfortunately, since this happens in list(),
the presence of the character breaks many usages of the bucket.
