+1 on @matthiasblaesing from my side as well. I'm going to merge #2369. That will make #2371 obsolete. @dukescript or @JaroslavTulach shall start a discussion thread on the dev@ list. Let's come to an agreement there. If we end up supporting the intentions of #2337, then @dukescript can file a new PR which combines #2337 with #2371 We are not in a hurry.
