Yes, unfortunately the PHP code in the cron job on the VM just uses every section from the JSON. It also writes the index link before trying to download, which is why there's a dead link showing up too. @ebarboni should we have a `publish_javadoc` key in the json? Do you know if the sources for those cron job files are documented, backed up, in a repo anywhere?
