Let's move this to discussions. There may be issues to address that stem from this, but it's too broad as is to be useful here. The platform is still supported, and actively used by multiple people involved in the NetBeans project. @ebarboni may have some thoughts on the Maven tooling? I generally use Ant still for RCP.
