Hey @MartinBalin, sorry for the late response here 🙇♂️. The extension could be published to Open VSX automatically, although it seems like automatic building here will be a lot more complex then other extension (due to mainly its many pre-requisities). If Apache could publish the extension, **or** publish the `.vsix` files as release artifacts on GitHub Releases, both of those options would be great (self-publishing is still preferred, since Apache can [claim their namespace on Open VSX](https://github.com/eclipse/openvsx/wiki/Namespace-Access) and mark the extension as verified and be the first ones to know if something goes wrong during publishing).
