   I'm inclined to close this immediately. I can turn the sentence

   The answer: No, it is not easy to make this fast, non-intrusive and show up 
in parallel. The navigator relies on the parsing of the file. This is a hard 
task and can take siginificantly longer than opening the file. This can be done 
in the background, but people are already complaining about the indexing work 
NetBeans is doing in the background, that would get worse.
