not completely sure what you mean because floating windows (detached top components) are rendered above the main window already. <img width="659" height="500" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/3633aeba-bb8a-4b78-967a-20616356c19f"; /> All applications I am aware of which started out as pure multi window applications were migrated to dockable main window applications over time (like gimp for example).
