Have a look here: https://tomee.apache.org/comparison.html Oracle abandoned JavaEE and the last released version was JavaEE 8. The source code was transfered to the Eclipse foundation, but Oracle denied access to the javax namespace and the naming rights. As a result JakartaEE was formed. The first Jakarta Releases retained to old namespaces (i.e. Java EE 8 and Jakarta EE 8 are the same from a programming perspective). With that in mind TomEE until version 8 should be an option as that version retains the javax Namespace, from TomEE 9 onwards the new namespaces are used. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
