a utility called gradle wrapper is used to download the gradle distribution when the project is built (on-demand so to speak). This is an IDE independent feature and happens even if you build the project outside of NetBeans. All you have to do is to be connected to the internet and then create a new gradle project. > In reply to your question about the wizard, sorry but which wizard are you referring to? this was me referring to the steps you listed to create a new project.
