When I renamed the ~/snap/netbeans/145 directory that corresponds to the
local settings for NB-30, netbeans 30 started OK even as a Snap package, with
the default settings. And I had no issues restarting it.

Even weirder is that when I moved the previous 145 directory, back, Netbeans
30 again started with my previous settings. But only for the first time. It
didn't start again after I stopped it.

So the question is - what is the difference between the first start and the
second start, if Netbeans later starts with the exact same config?

   Here's what happens to me:

   1. Netbeans 30 doesn't start
   2. Move the `~/snap/netbeans/145` to `~/snap/netbeans/145.old`
   3. Netbeans 30 starts with the default config, it creates a new
`~/snap/netbeans/145`
   4. Netbeans keeps starting after stopping, as expected
   5. I stop Netbeans, delete `~/snap/netbeans/145`, copy the
`~/snap/netbeans/145.old` directory to `~/snap/netbeans/145` - it's the same
directory that was used in step 1, same files
   6. I start Netbeans 30 - it starts OK, with my custom settings
   7. I stop Netbeans and then it no longer starts again, I'm in step 1

How can starting Netbeans with the default config fix the situation but only
for the first start of netbeans? There must be some state outside of the
`~/snap/netbeans/145` that is cleared when Netbeans successfully starts with
the default config.
